Banstead has plenty of options for you and your family starting with Mayfield Lavender. Just type Banstead into Google and you are flooded with stunning photos of lavender fields. This is because the chalk soil in the area makes the perfect place to grow the stunning purple flowers. It seems to be on the top of everyone’s to do list when visiting Banstead and rightly so. Banstead Downs Golf Course is another great option that also offers fantastic options for junior memberships.

*Nature
Whether you have dogs to walk, enjoy a morning jog or like to plan family picnics Banstead woods is the perfect place to explore. With plenty of well-marked paths and beautiful views we would recommend anyone visiting to add this to the list.

*Entertainment
In the evenings and weekends we all like to unwind and spend our time doing a variety of different pastimes. Luckily Banstead offers a range of entertainment options including the Curzon Country Cinema which is a movie house situated in the Church Institute. There are many restaurants, cafes and shops on the high street for you to stroll down on a Sunday. The Woolpack pub is a truly traditional village pub that offers food drinks and nightly entertainment such as quiz nights and live music!

*History
What is a countryside village without some history to its name? If historic buildings are your thing then take a stroll to the far end of Banstead high street. Here you will find the Old Village Hall and War Memorial which was built in 1920 to ‘welcome home our fighting men’. Built way before this was All Saints Church, a fascinating building dating back to the 1100s and featuring lots of stunning Stained Glass Windows!
