LIVING IN Worcester Park

Worcester Park was once part of the 1,100 acre Great Park, which Henry VIII favoured for deer hunting.

H.G. Wells lived for a time in Worcester Park and it gained a mention in his 1895 book The Argonauts of the Air, a short story about manned flight.

Today Worcester Park is part of south-west London’s suburban spread, with lovely parks, good schools, and a wide range of properties from flats, bungalows and semis to detached houses.

MORE ABOUT Worcester Park

Though the property stocks in Worcester Park offer a wide variety, the majority were constructed in the mid-war period. Property prices range from £150k to £1m with houses starting from £350k and rapidly raising to £500-550k – the average house price in the area.

From Surbiton Raceway to Hollywood Bowl in Tolworth, Hobbledown adventure farm, Chessington World of Adventures, and a day at the races in Epsom, there’s so much to see and do around Worcester Park.

The town is serviced by Worcester Park Station, which provides excellent connections with London Waterloo (30 minutes journey at a rate of 5-6 trains an hour in rush hour) and Guildford and Dorking in the south. Bus numbers 151 (to Wallington), 213 (to Kingston and Sutton), S3 (to Malden Manor and Sutton Hospital), and X26 (to Heathrow Airport and West Croydon) run through the town. And there are excellent road connections from the A2043 Malden Road that runs through the centre of town.
