LIVING IN
STONELEIGH

Stoneleigh is a highly regarded area, but less than 80 years ago it was all still fields and forest.

Then, when Stoneleigh rail station opened in the 1930s, the region surrounding it was developed into what is now a popular suburb of south-west London.

The 1930s was one of Britain’s most prolific building periods, and it produced some of the finest homes that we still cherish today – high ceilings, beautiful rounded bay windows, well-proportioned rooms, and a look and style that has become timeless.

MORE ABOUT STONELEIGH

In and around Stoneleigh there is so much for everyone to see and do. Of course there is the world famous Chessington World of Adventures just three miles away, Hollywood Bowl ten-pin bowling in Tolworth is just two miles away, and the Odeon cinema in Epsom and the Empire Cinema in Sutton are only a few miles away also. There are 18-hole golf courses and crazy golf courses for all ages, and parks aplenty, including the Nonsuch Park which was a royal estate built in the 16th century by Henry VIII.

There are a number of exceptional schools in the area, as you would expect from a region where property is in such demand. Though Stoneleigh itself is a small suburban town, there is plenty to keep the kids occupied. Soft play for the younger ones and a tennis academy for those with a passion for sports, a working farm with adventure park and an arts and crafts centre.
