Banstead is situated on the northern edge of the North Downs, surrounded by the quaint villages of Woodmansterne and Chipstead and open countryside.
There has been a settlement at Banstead for the last thousand years, with mentions in the Domesday Book. In the past, the village was well known for its farming, the quality of its wool, horse racing on Banstead Downs, and as a health spa to revitalise and rejuvenate – in the 17th century London doctors often prescribed a holiday in Banstead to patients due to its ‘wholesome air’.

Banstead village is located approximately 15 miles from London and five miles from Junction 8 of the M25. The High Street has an excellent choice of well-known stores with over one hundred shops, including Marks & Spencer and Waitrose among them.
Today, its village-like look and feel, its shopping, schools and stunning properties draw people once more to the area. Property prices range from £200k to £2.5m, with houses starting from around £300-350,000 and detached homes starting from £550,000.
