The 9th Annual Supercar Event was held this year at Dunsfold Park in Cranleigh (the site of the Top Gear test track) and being a noted petrol head himself, Rupert Briggs of The Personal Agent was in attendance along with thousands of other avid motorists to enjoy a day of fun, fast cars and fundraising.
The event, which organisers lovingly refer to as ‘Dad’s Day Out’ was another huge success with over £115,000 being raised for The Children’s Trust charity (beating last year’s record of £95,000) with car fanatics coming from all over to drive some of the world’s rarest and most expensive sports cars. With rides in over 260 super cars, including Lamborghini’s, Ferraris, TVR and the event sponsor’s Lexus LFA supercar and the most expensive Ferrari ever built, the LaFerrari which costs in excess of a million pounds the day was a huge hit for all in attendance.
A number of celebrities were also at the event including Reigate based F1 driver, Max Chilton, television presenter Craig Phillips, Banstead based golfer Ross McGowen and even the famous ‘Stig’ was there to take people for a spin.
The trust which raises money for Tadworth based The Children’s Trust which works to provide care, education and therapy for children suffering from multiple disabilities, including rehabilitation to children with an acquired brain injury.
Well done to Rupert and everyone who attended the event in helping to raise so much money for charity!
