Epsom Turns On Christmas Lights 2016

25th Nov, 2016

The Personal Agent Christmas Lights

On the 24th November, Epsom celebrated its annual Christmas Event. With 3000 plus local residents, the evening provided a variety of family attractions, late night shopping and celebrated all things Christmas.

Centered at the Epsom Clock Tower, this year proved to be yet another fun-packed evening with more local businesses taking part than ever before. As with every year, we at The Personal Agent were pleased to meet members from the community and join in to help raise money for some excellent charities.

The main charities showcased this year included Momentum – who work to raise funds for children with Cancer, in particular Casey Ward at Epsom Hospital; and Tadworth Children’s Trust, who provide care and support for children with brain injury.

Just some of the attractions to help raise money for these fantastic causes included face painting, a ‘Frozen’ characters meet and greets as well as a teacup ride and carousel, improved stage and entertainment, Santa’s Grotto as well as a whole host of food stalls and mulled wine.

To tie the evening together, the organisers kick-started the holiday season with the annual turning- on of the Epsom Town Christmas lights. If you’re in Epsom over the Christmas months, be sure to check out the wonderful lights and visit us over on West Street.

This year the lights were turned on by the cast of the Epsom Playhouse pantomime Aladdin, plus Ashley Bear, and of course Santa. Children were kept entertained by roaming entertainers, including jugglers, stilt walkers, balloon modellers and face painters.
